It has been about a month that I have been involved with a grassroots project called "Our City of Colours". Our City of Colours' mission is to promote the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people of colour in a variety of linguistic and cultural communities across the Metro Vancouver region. In our current scope, we are aiming to create and distribute an array of posters across the Metro Vancouver region, all of which are designed to portray individual and coupled LGBTQ-identified members of visible minorities with messaging that is positive and affirming of their experiences.
